NexusTek, a nationwide managed IT service provider (MSP) backed by private equity firm Abry Partners, has hired Optiv Security veteran Bill Wosilius as CEO. He succeeds Mike Jenner, who exited to pursue other opportunities, the company said.
Wosilius previously was VP and general manager of Global Technology Management Solutions for Optiv Security, a Top 100 MSSP, according to MSSP Alert. He played a key role in the company’s organic growth and acquisition, as well as Optiv’s recapitalization with private equity firm KKR.
Wosilius began his career at Inflow, a national provider of data centers and managed IT services. Between 2011 and 2013, he was senior VP of corporate operations at CoreSite. He also worked at Accuvant, SunGard Availability Services and Critigen.
Wosilius commented on the news:
“For an MSP like NexusTek, which offers an all-inclusive managed IT services portfolio in a national footprint, there is unprecedented demand from businesses across the country. NexusTek is a nationally-recognized leader in managed IT that is uniquely positioned to provide businesses help in designing, deploying and managing their IT environments. Over the past year, I have watched NexusTek become a national platform that delivers best-in-class service to its clients, and I am honored to join this team.”
NexusTek: Mergers, Acquisitions and Expansion
NexusTek has made multiple M&A and business moves over the past year. In June 2019, the company unveiled a nationwide suite of new managed services solutions designed for SMBs to help simplify their offerings, pricing, and lack of skilled IT personnel.
In August of 2018, the company acquired three IT service providers to help expand its MSP, IT consultation, and professional services business. An additional deal involved Zumasys.
NexusTek grew more than 100 percent last year, though ChannelE2E doesn’t know actual revenue or profit figures. The company has 300 employees who support 2,700 customer organizations across 47 states.
